For the chocolate sphere, gather the following materials and ingredients:

  • Chocolate: A chocolate bar with a chocolate wrapper. You can use dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or even white chocolate to build your spheres.
  • Thermometer: A thermometer is very important for tempering chocolate.
  • Sphere mold: Either a silicone mold for manufacturing chocolate balls or an acrylic mold for making homemade chocolate.

Chocolate tempering for gleaming bombs

Use couverture chocolate, which has more cocoa butter and melts more easily than chocolate chips, to make beautiful shells. Although working with chocolate is impressive, tempering chocolate is a simple procedure. The chocolate is melted while following a temperature curve in this tempering procedure. This produces a more flawless outcome, with the chocolate shining and substantial.

How to Make a Chocolate Bomb?

  • Dark chocolate: Melt at 50-55 degrees Celsius (122-131 degrees Fahrenheit), cool to 28-29 degrees Celsius (82 degrees Fahrenheit), and use at 31-32 degrees Celsius (87-89 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • Melt milk chocolate at 45-50 degrees Celsius, cool to 27-28 degrees Celsius (80 degrees Fahrenheit), and use at 29-30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • Melt white chocolate at 45°C (80°F), chill at 26°C (80°F), and use at 28°C (82°F).
  • Melt the chocolate in 20 second increments in a double boiler or in the microwave. (Depending on the chocolate you're using, follow the temperature curves)
  • Use a brush or the back of a tiny spoon to apply the chocolate to the mold.
  • Unmold the chocolate shells gently.
  • Chocolate and sprinkles can be used to decorate your explosives.
  • Fill the insides of your shells with filler and join them together with welding (see technique below)
  • Enjoy!

How to simply attach the two chocolate spheres together

There is a really simple and straightforward approach to adhering the two chocolate pieces together! Heat a plate in the microwave for about 1 minute, then place your shells on top for a few moments. The heat from the plate will melt the chocolate, allowing you to attach the two shells together to form the bombs.

As you nibble on bomb cakes with your loved ones, make your festivities more enjoyable and full of surprises. Explore and order several flavors, and have the treat brought to your door by ordering a cake bomb!
